Between July 2–9, 2025, PM Modi will visit Ghana, Trinidad & Tobago, Argentina, Brazil (for the BRICS Summit), and Namibia to strengthen India’s ties across Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin an eight-day, five-nation diplomatic tour on July 2 — his longest abroad since 2015, and the most extensive foreign trip by an Indian prime minister in a decade.
His itinerary highlights engagements in Africa, the Caribbean, and Latin America, capped by attendance at the 17th BRICS Summit in Brazil.

The journey kicks off in Ghana (July 2–3), marking Modi’s first-ever bilateral visit to the country and the first by an Indian prime minister in 30 years . He is scheduled to meet Ghanaian leaders and address its parliament.
Next, on July 3–4, Modi visits Trinidad & Tobago, the Indian PM’s first visit there since 1999, where he will participate in bilateral meetings and address a joint session of Parliament .

From July 4–5, he travels to Argentina, invited by President Javier Milei, to discuss cooperation in defense, energy, agriculture, mining, trade, and renewable energy.
The next leg is Brazil (July 5–8) for the BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro, where he will likely address terrorism, global governance reform, AI regulation, climate change, and sustainable development. He will also hold bilateral talks with President Lula.
The final stop is Namibia, where Modi arrives on July 8–9. It will be only the third Indian PM visit to Namibia and the first in 27 years. He is expected to meet President Netumbo Nandi‑Ndaitwah and address their parliament, with agenda items including the implementation of India’s UPI payment system.
