The Hyderabad-based diversified business group has announced two senior appointments and an internal promotion to strengthen operations, organisational transformation and sales across its businesses.

EBG Group has announced three key leadership changes as part of its strategy to strengthen business operations, improve organisational efficiency and accelerate growth across multiple sectors.
The Hyderabad-headquartered conglomerate has appointed Rakesh Kumar Sharma as Group Chief Operating Officer (COO) and Geetanjali Gusain as Group Chief Transformation Officer (CTO). The company has also promoted Omkar Navge to Group Chief Sales Officer (CSO), recognising his contribution to the organisation.

According to the company's announcement, these leadership changes are aimed at strengthening corporate governance, improving business execution, developing leadership capabilities and establishing efficient operating systems across its expanding business portfolio.
EBG Group operates across several sectors, including electric mobility, consumer appliances, health and wellness, lifestyle, hospitality, food and beverages, and technology. Its portfolio includes brands and businesses such as eBikeGo, Vajram Electric, Daewoo Appliances India, Carlton Wellness, Adhira & Appa Café and Chhota Bheem Family Café.
The group has also undertaken expansion initiatives, including the opening of its first Daewoo Experience Store in Ghaziabad and the inauguration of Vajram Electric's integrated manufacturing and distribution facility in Hyderabad.
Commenting on the appointments, Dr Irfan Khan, Founder and Chairman of EBG Group, said the organisation's focus was shifting towards building a sustainable institution supported by strong leadership, effective systems and accountability.
He highlighted that the three executives bring complementary expertise in business transformation, operational management and sales.
According to Khan, the appointments reflect the group's commitment to professional management, improved execution and an ownership-driven work culture, guided by its philosophy of People, Planet and Progress.
Rakesh Kumar Sharma brings more than 25 years of professional experience in retail, consumer businesses, omnichannel operations and large-scale business management.
He is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIM Kozhikode) and the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad. During his career, he has held leadership positions at prominent organisations, including Walmart, Reliance Retail, Metro Cash & Carry and Hippo.
As Group COO, Sharma will oversee initiatives to improve operational efficiency, strengthen execution capabilities and enhance customer experience. He will also work towards developing standardised and scalable business processes across the group's various businesses.
Sharma said his priority would be to convert the group's growth opportunities into measurable business outcomes through operational excellence, consistent execution and improved customer service.
Geetanjali Gusain joins EBG Group as Group Chief Transformation Officer, bringing 22 years of experience across hospitality, real estate, financial services, agritech, sustainability and organisational transformation.
Her professional experience includes working with Plantix Agritech India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of HELM AG, and Sneh Consulting Private Limited.
In her new position, Gusain will be responsible for leading transformation initiatives across the organisation. Her key focus areas will include leadership development, employee capabilities, corporate governance, performance management, process improvement and building a common organisational culture.
Emphasising the importance of aligning people, processes and profitability, Gusain said she would focus on developing stronger leadership capabilities and fostering an ownership-oriented culture to support the group's long-term growth.
In another significant leadership development, EBG Group has promoted Omkar Navge to Group Chief Sales Officer.
The internal promotion reflects the company's approach towards identifying and nurturing leadership talent within the organisation.
Navge brings experience in sales management, corporate client acquisition, strategic partnerships and relationship management. His previous professional associations include Club Mahindra and Taj Hotels. He has also contributed to EBG Group's sales and business development initiatives.
In his new role, Navge will be responsible for strengthening the group's sales network, building strategic relationships with customers and distribution partners, improving revenue generation and supporting the company's expansion across India.
The three leadership appointments are expected to play complementary roles in EBG Group's expansion strategy. While Sharma will focus on operational management, Gusain will lead organisational transformation and Navge will oversee sales growth.
Through these changes, the group aims to strengthen its management structure, improve organisational capabilities and create a scalable business framework to support its presence across multiple industries.
