Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently sparked a sensation when Dr. Cyriac Abby Philips, known as The Liver Doc, criticized her for disseminating false information regarding hydrogen peroxide nebulization. Prabhu was condemned by The Liver Doc as a "health illiterate" and warned that she would be sent to jail if she continued to disseminate false information.
He said that Prabhu's mistakes were the result of her ignorance of health awareness and urged her to accept accountability for spreading false information.

In response, Prabhu wrote a lengthy comment, criticizing the doctor's choice of words, admitting her lack of expertise in the area, and appealing to the doctor to be more polite.
"It would have been kind and compassionate of him if he hadn't been so proactive with his words. Especially the part where he suggests I should be thrown in prison. Never mind. I suppose it goes with the territory of being a celebrity. I posted as someone in need of medical treatment, not as a celebrity," she wrote.

The Liver Doc recently engaged in a heated dispute with the actress in which he challenged the integrity of the two doctors she mentioned in her comments, calling them "imposters" and “profit-seekers.” However, he later apologized to Prabhu in his post.
The Liver Doc wrote in his post that he had over 10 years of expertise in the medical sector and that it was pointless to argue with Prabhu's doctors, Dr. Jockers and Dr. Mitra Basu Chillar. He explained the different practices they were involved in, pointing out that some of them were improper and others were not even permissible.
The Liver Doc wrote: "I understand and empathize with Samantha's health condition, and I wish her the very best. I apologize if she felt uneasy or uncomfortable about how the message was conveyed. It was unintentional. My goal was for her to leave behind medical misinformation and 'doctors' who use her vulnerability and cater to her anecdotal experiences for personal benefit. I truly recommend that people with chronic illnesses continue to use evidence-based medical procedures in order to maintain a safety net and sanctuary."
