The new inspection system requires officers to follow strict schedules and submit reports online and aims to improve teaching quality, student learning, and timely intervention in Telangana schools.
The Telangana School Education Department has introduced new inspection guidelines that mandate deputing 2% of teachers exclusively for school inspections, monitoring, and supervision.
According to the guidelines, inspecting officers must carry out panel inspections for every school within their jurisdiction to ensure complete coverage.
Each officer is required to submit an annual tour program for approval every April, following the submission of their annual appraisal report. Monthly tentative tour programs must also be submitted in advance for approval.
Inspections must be carried out according to the approved schedule, and detailed reports are to be submitted by the 5th of the following month. All inspection-related tasks, including reporting, will be conducted online.
The new system is designed to strengthen the teaching-learning process through timely support and targeted interventions.
It aims to enhance classroom teaching practices, improve student outcomes, and ensure better learning experiences across schools.
“Through this comprehensive inspection system, critical issues can be identified and addressed swiftly, allowing for timely corrective action and overall educational improvement,” said a senior official.
