The visit focused on showcasing Delhi’s modern school infrastructure, digital learning tools, and innovative teaching methods, while discussing collaboration in teacher training, vocational education, sustainable schools, and student-teacher exchange programs.

Sri Lankan Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya visited the CM Shri School in Rohini on Oct 17 to explore opportunities for educational collaboration with Delhi schools.
The visit aimed to showcase Delhi's modern school infrastructure, digital learning environment, and innovative teaching practices.

Accompanied by Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood, the PM toured the school and engaged with officials on possible areas of cooperation.
These included teacher training programs, vocational education initiatives, and promoting sustainability within school campuses.
A key proposal discussed during the visit is the “Delhi-Colombo Education Bridge,” which is designed to facilitate student and teacher exchange programs while fostering partnerships in sustainable school design, educational innovation, and youth leadership development.
During her visit to Sarvodaya Co-Ed Vidyalaya, Amarasuriya received a briefing on Delhi’s public education model and its efforts to integrate technology and modern pedagogy into classrooms.
The discussions underscored both sides’ interest in strengthening academic ties, sharing best practices, and building initiatives that enhance the quality of education and prepare students for future challenges.
