Selected beneficiaries will receive financial assistance through direct bank transfers, with applications accepted from eligible CHSE Odisha and Upashastri examination candidates, including those who passed in 2025.

The Odisha government has opened applications for its laptop incentive scheme, offering financial assistance of ₹30,000 each to 15,000 meritorious students who have passed their Class 12 examinations.
The online application process under the Godabarisha Bidyarthi Protsahan Yojana, also known as the Laptop Incentive Scheme, will remain open from Nov 1 to Nov 19, 2026.

The financial assistance will be provided directly to the bank accounts of selected students through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. Eligible candidates must complete the application process through the state's official scholarship portal at scholarship.odisha.gov.in within the prescribed deadline.
Students applying for the scheme must log in to the portal using their Aadhaar number and the mobile number linked to their Aadhaar account. They will then be required to enter the necessary details and submit their applications online.
The Odisha Education Department announced the application schedule through an official notice shared on its social media account on X. Students have been advised to complete the application process within the Nov 19 deadline to be considered for the financial assistance.
The scheme is intended for students who have cleared the most recent Annual Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, as well as the Upashastri examination conducted by Shri Jagannath Sanskrit Vishwavidyalaya, Puri.
The government has also extended the application opportunity to eligible students who passed their examinations in 2025 but could not apply during the earlier application window. They can now submit their applications through the scholarship portal within the newly announced schedule.
Odisha Laptop Incentive Scheme: Eligibility criteria
Students are selected for the Godabarisha Bidyarthi Protsahan Yojana based on their academic performance in the qualifying examinations. According to the available official information, candidates are generally required to secure at least 60% marks to be considered for the incentive.
The selection process also takes into account the geographical distribution of beneficiaries. The allocation of financial assistance is calculated separately for each Block and Urban Local Body (ULB) to ensure representation across different areas of the state.
Under the scheme, 15,000 meritorious students will receive ₹30,000 each as financial assistance. Rather than distributing laptops directly, the government transfers the incentive amount to the bank accounts of selected beneficiaries through the DBT mechanism.
Students who meet the eligibility requirements can access the application facility through the official Odisha scholarship portal, scholarship.odisha.gov.in. The application window opened on Nov 1 and will close on Nov 19, 2026.
