The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, in partnership with the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies, has announced a large-scale scholarship initiative to train 15,000 young professionals in artificial intelligence, targeting emerging needs across creative and digital industries.
The program will extend to sectors such as media, entertainment, gaming, and animation, where AI integration is accelerating.

The initiative is being supported by global technology companies, including Google and YouTube, signaling a broader industry push to build AI capabilities in content and creative production.
According to an official statement, the scholarship program will prioritize high-growth domains such as animation, visual effects, gaming, and digital content creation, where AI-driven tools are increasingly central to workflows.
Officials said the initiative seeks to address the widening skill gap in creative technology domains by preparing a workforce capable of meeting evolving industry demands.
The program is designed to equip participants with relevant technical and creative competencies required in AI-enabled production environments.
The training will include modules on advanced AI applications, creative automation, data-driven storytelling, and emerging production techniques.
A strong emphasis will be placed on hands-on learning to ensure participants gain practical experience alongside theoretical understanding.
Under the scheme, selected candidates will gain access to specialized training resources, industry-grade tools, and structured mentorship from experienced professionals.
The practical component of the program is intended to offer real-world exposure to AI-powered creative processes, enabling participants to develop production-ready skills and improve employability.
Further details regarding the application process and rollout timeline are expected to be announced soon.
Interested candidates have been advised to check the official websites of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies for updates.
