The scholarship program aims to support meritorious students from government and government-aided schools by removing financial barriers to engineering and medical entrance exam preparation.

The Delhi government has introduced a scholarship-based initiative to provide free residential coaching for JEE and NEET aspirants studying in Class 12 at government and government-aided schools.
According to a circular issued by the Directorate of Education (DoE), the coaching will be conducted under a scholarship offered by the Pune-based Dakshana Foundation. Schools have been directed to inform eligible students about the program and encourage them to apply.

The scholarship is open to Class 12 Science students enrolled in government and government-aided schools who have demonstrated strong academic performance.
Selection will be based on the Joint Dakshana Selection Test (JSDT) 2027, scheduled to be held in December 2026. Students who qualify will receive one year of fully residential coaching at Dakshana Valley, the foundation's campus in Kadus village near Pune, Maharashtra.
The scholarship covers the full cost of coaching, hostel accommodation, and meals, enabling students to prepare for the engineering and medical entrance examinations without financial burden.
The initiative is intended to support meritorious students who aspire to secure admission to leading engineering and medical institutions but may not be able to afford private coaching.
By offering structured academic guidance and residential facilities, the program seeks to improve their preparation for JEE and NEET.
The Directorate of Education has advised eligible students to remain in contact with their schools for updates regarding the application process and the selection test. Schools have also been asked to encourage deserving students to apply for the scholarship.
