ICFAI Hyderabad, Sheffield Hallam University sign MoU to strengthen research and academic collaboration

ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education in Hyderabad and Sheffield Hallam University in the UK have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to expand academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The agreement, signed on Wednesday, builds on an existing partnership and aims to create opportunities for joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, collaborative academic programs and knowledge sharing, according to a release from ICFAI.

The partnership also seeks to promote innovation and develop opportunities for students, faculty members and researchers at both institutions. The collaboration is expected to support academic engagement and strengthen connections between the institutions in India and the UK.

Oliver Coppard, Mayor of South Yorkshire in the UK, attended the MoU signing ceremony alongside representatives from Sheffield Hallam University and the South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority (SYMCA), the release said.

Prof A Vinay Kumar, vice chancellor of ICFAI, said, “The MoU opens the door for our two institutions to explore joint research, faculty and student exchanges, and the joint development of academic programmes.”

The visit also brought together representatives from ICFAI, Sheffield Hallam University and the visiting delegation to discuss potential areas of cooperation.

Their discussions focused on strengthening academic and research collaboration, as well as developing industry connections between India and South Yorkshire, the release added.
