Police seized mobile phones and Bluetooth devices allegedly used to transmit questions outside the exam hall and relay answers back, registering a case under relevant examination laws.

Raipur police on Feb 15 uncovered an alleged cheating racket during the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering and arrested six individuals, including candidates who were appearing for the exam.
Police said the accused used electronic devices to pass on questions from inside the examination hall to associates stationed outside. The accomplices allegedly searched for answers and transmitted them back in real time.

Authorities seized eight mobile phones, four Bluetooth-enabled devices, three Bluetooth earpieces, and other electronic equipment from the group.
"Acting on a tip-off, the police maintained discreet surveillance around the examination center under the DD Nagar police station limits. They spotted a few individuals in suspicious circumstances carrying electronic devices," the official said.
During interrogation, the detained individuals disclosed the involvement of others who were writing the GATE exam at the same center.
Investigators later recovered hidden Bluetooth devices allegedly used to exchange questions and answers.
Those arrested were identified as Darshan Sehwag, Sumit Sehwag, Laxminarayan alias Lucky, Amar, Narendra Kumar, and Bunty Kumar, all from Haryana.
Police have filed a case under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Public Examinations Prevention of Unfair Means Act. An investigation is ongoing.
