The Punjab government plans to improve education across the state, focusing on modern classrooms, qualified teachers, and free coaching for competitive exams, benefiting 6.2 million students in public and private schools.
Harjot Singh Bains, the Education Minister of Punjab, and Manish Sisodia, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi, announced on April 2 that the state government will begin opening renovated schools daily for two months, starting on April 7.
According to the information provided, inauguration ceremonies will be held for the upgraded schools, including those designated as "Schools of Eminence."
Bains and Sisodia urged the public to share suggestions for improving education, emphasizing the importance of public involvement.
They stressed that collective efforts are essential to transforming the education sector.
The ministers reiterated that the government is making adjustments to ensure modern classrooms, highly qualified instructors, and free coaching for competitive exams.
They also reiterated their goal of "Padhda Punjab" or "Literate Punjab."
They highlighted that the state is putting in significant effort to provide a top-quality education to the 6.2 million students enrolled in public and private schools.
Bains stated that, over the past three years, the state government has constructed 6,200 new classrooms, renovated 4,700 old ones, established 117 Schools of Eminence, and increased the pass rate to nearly 92%.
