The initiative will be launched in eight districts, aiming to encourage parents to actively engage in play-based activities that promote early childhood development and academic growth.
Through play-based activities, the Punjab government plans to introduce a new program that will encourage parents to be involved in their child's educational path.
The 'Aarambh' initiative will be implemented in eight districts in the first phase, according to Social Security, Women, and Child Development Minister Baljit Kaur on March 30.
These districts are Ludhiana, SAS Nagar, Patiala, Sangrur, Sri Muktsar Sahib, Tarn Taran, Rupnagar, and Amritsar.
The project is anticipated to get underway shortly and will be a big step in improving children's foundational education.
According to an official release, it will act as a template for further growth throughout the state.
As per the minister, the program's goal is to give both parents and children a fun and dynamic learning environment.
It will help young students develop socially, emotionally, and cognitively.
She emphasized that the Punjab government's dedication to bolstering early education and enabling families to actively participate in their children's academic development is demonstrated by this project.
In order to increase the efficacy and enjoyment of early education, Kaur asked parents and educators throughout Punjab to get involved in this project.
According to her, every effort is being made by the state government to guarantee children's holistic development.
Initiatives like 'Aarambh,' she claimed, will play a major role in bringing the goal of a 'Rangla' Punjab to fruition. More than 20 lakh parents attended the Punjab government's recent mammoth parent-teacher conference, according to Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains.
"The massive success of the mega PTM is a testament to the Punjab government's commitment to creating a collaborative and supportive learning environment for all students," Bains said.
He said that although personnel from the education department visited 5,849 schools, Cabinet ministers or MLAs visited more than 100.
The Punjab government aims to consistently raise educational standards throughout the state and enable kids to realize their full potential, he said, adding that around 1.23 lakh parents completed feedback forms at the meeting.
Bains highlighted the initiative's long-term advantages, saying it will improve communication between parents and educators, enabling real-time problem-solving and a deeper comprehension of students' academic performance.
“The PTMs allow parents to regularly monitor their children's progress and provide a platform for teachers to offer guidance and feedback. This interaction empowers parents to play a more active role in their children's education and enables school authorities to identify areas for improvement,” he said.
