The annual program aims to make examinations a positive experience, promoting confidence, optimism, and well-being, while celebrating the exam season as an Utsav.

The event was broadcast live on Doordarshan channels, including DD National, DD News, and DD India, along with private TV networks and All India Radio.

It was also streamed on digital platforms such as the PMO, Ministry of Education, Doordarshan, MyGov.in, YouTube (MoE), Facebook Live, and Swayam Prabha channels.

The 2026 edition has seen record participation, with over 4.5 crore registrations and an additional 2.26 crore students engaging in related activities, bringing total involvement to more than 6.76 crore individuals.

During the session, a student from Coimbatore asked about the educational level needed to start a company. PM Modi said, "Students should reach out to industry professionals and understand how they work."

On balancing studies with art, craft, or design, he advised, "Don't see studies and art as separate." He demonstrated how students can combine science and art, for instance, by creating art while studying chemistry concepts, and suggested using art to relieve stress for half an hour daily or twice a week.

Addressing a question on youth contributions toward Viksit Bharat 2047, the Prime Minister said, "Singapore was once a fishermen village and has become such a big country now. If we want to become a developed country, we need to make our habits the same as those of people from those countries."

He emphasized small daily actions such as not wasting food or littering, which collectively contribute to nation-building. He also cited initiatives like "Vocal for Local" to encourage supporting Indian products and "Wed in India" to promote local weddings.

On the importance of motivation versus discipline, PM Modi said, "Both are important because if you don’t have discipline, it does not matter how much motivation you have; it won’t be helpful." He stressed, "Discipline is the key. Inspiration only adds to it."

When asked about AI and technology, the PM advised, "In every era, people have debated new technologies, just like they did when computers first arrived… We shouldn't fear technology."

He cautioned against becoming overly dependent, saying, "Don't become slaves. Some kids do not eat food unless they see the smartphone."

He suggested using AI as a tool, for example, to find books, but not to perform tasks entirely for students. He added, "The nature of jobs will always change. I believe that technology is a great teacher, and we should embrace it."

PM Modi also encouraged students to help peers struggling in studies: "Make friends with students in your class who are a little weak in studies. Tell them, 'I want to teach you math today.' The brainpower you use to teach them will strengthen your own understanding."

On leadership, he explained, "A real leader is someone who can convince ten people—but before doing that, one must first understand them."

Students asking about career choices were advised to explore multiple paths but avoid being swayed only by success. PM Modi urged, "Learn from the humble beginnings of great people."

He also highlighted practical tips for exam preparation, including writing practice, solving papers, maintaining proper sleep, and daily exercise. He emphasized that discipline amplifies motivation, and progress comes from competing with oneself.

During the episode, PM Modi spoke with students from Coimbatore, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, and Assam, providing a platform for diverse regional voices.

He highlighted the benefits of local exploration, urging students to travel within their districts and states before venturing further, making experiences more meaningful and accessible.

He emphasized self-belief, recalling Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago speech and how confidence helped him deliver a historic address.

PM Modi also addressed healthy lifestyles, portion control, and mindful eating, stressing that simple traditional meals energize the body and sharpen focus. Students were reminded to enjoy life alongside studies and maintain mental strength during exams.

The first episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026 aired on February 6, focusing on skill development, creativity, responsible technology use, and preparation strategies.

Pre-event activities in Devmogra, Coimbatore, Raipur, and Guwahati engaged students and teachers nationwide ahead of the main episodes.

Since its launch in 2018 at Talkatora Stadium, Pariksha Pe Charcha has served as an interactive platform for students, teachers, and parents to discuss exam stress, life skills, and learning strategies.

This year, over 4.5 crore participants enrolled, including 4.19 crore students, 24.84 lakh teachers, and more than 6 lakh parents.

The second episode, aired on Feb 9, reinforced PM Modi’s focus on practical learning, discipline, and self-improvement while addressing student questions on startups, AI, leadership, Viksit Bharat 2047, exam preparation, and balanced lifestyles.
