PhysicsWallah partners with YCMOU to offer online degree programs

Edtech company PhysicsWallah (PW) has announced a partnership with Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) to offer online degree programs with live classes and real-time doubt-solving features.

As part of the collaboration, students will be able to enroll in credit-based online programs while benefiting from structured academic support.

The initiative aims to make formal higher education more accessible, combining YCMOU’s academic supervision with PW’s digital capabilities.

The two institutions will roll out four programs: Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Master of Arts in English (MA English), and Bachelor of Computer Applications (BCA).

These courses are being designed in line with UGC and AICTE norms and are aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

The programs will follow the UGC’s Four-Quadrant MOOC framework, which includes a blend of self-paced content, live online sessions, assessments, and student support services. YCMOU will oversee academic compliance and issue the degrees, while PW will handle technology, content delivery, and student engagement.

Aditya Agarwal, CBO-New Initiatives at PhysicsWallah, said, “This partnership with YCMOU will support our journey towards building scalable, digitally enabled pathways for learners to help access structured degree programs. We attempt to focus on delivering programs that are accessible, compliant, and aligned with industry expectations.”

Prof. (Dr.) Sanjeev Sonawane of YCMOU added, “This collaboration with PhysicsWallah continues to enhance our digital academic delivery. We are working towards ensuring that learners are receiving flexible education backed by academic rigor and regulatory alignment.”
