The "Shishu Vatika" initiative, launched by the Odisha government, aims to promote early childhood education, providing young children with a structured and engaging learning environment as part of the NEP 2020.
The "Shishu Vatika" initiative, aimed at providing young children with an organized learning environment as they begin their educational journey, has been formally inaugurated by the Odisha government in schools across the state.
Designed to enhance early childhood education in Odisha, the program is a part of the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
On April 2, special events, including "Prabesh Utsav" and "Khadi Chhuan," were held to welcome newcomers to school.
These programs aim to foster early learning engagement and make the first day of classes memorable for the children.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi spoke at the event, encouraging everyone to help create a promising future for children.
He highlighted the government's commitment to providing high-quality education and ensuring a solid foundation for the next generation.
“We are committed to providing the best and highest quality education to the students of our state. That’s why we’ve implemented the NEP 2020 and started the Shishu Vatika programs in schools across Odisha. To encourage students, ‘Prabesh Utsav’ and ‘Khadi Chhuan’ are being organized,” CM Majhi said.
"The Shishu Vatika initiative will play a crucial role in building a modern, self-reliant, and empowered future for our children," the CM added.
The initiative is expected to improve early childhood education and foster a supportive learning environment in schools throughout the state.
