The collaboration will introduce new academic programs, internships, and a Center of Excellence, giving NIIT University students hands-on exposure to robotics, automation, and AI while enhancing industry readiness.
NIIT University (NU) has entered into a partnership with Addverb Technologies, a global robotics and automation company, to strengthen innovation and skill development in emerging technologies.
The two sides formalized the agreement through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at advancing research, industry readiness, and specialized education in Robotics, Automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
As part of the collaboration, NU and Addverb will develop long-term industry-academia linkages to bridge the gap between education and workforce requirements.
Plans include launching BTech and MTech programs in specialized fields, setting up a Center of Excellence at NU for research and incubation, and offering students practical exposure through live projects and internships.
Prof Prakash Gopalan, President of NIIT University, said, “This partnership with Addverb Technologies will enable our students to gain direct exposure to cutting-edge technologies, live projects, and industry best practices, ensuring they graduate with future-ready skills.”
“It further strengthens our commitment to building strong academia-industry linkages that nurture innovation, problem-solving, and entrepreneurship. By integrating real-world experiences into the learning journey, we are preparing our students not just for their first jobs but for long-term leadership in the evolving fields of robotics, automation, and artificial intelligence,” added Gopalan.
The tie-up will provide NU students with multiple opportunities, including internships at Addverb facilities and customer sites, placement support under Addverb’s hiring policies, and hands-on training in robotics and AI.
Faculty members will also collaborate with Addverb professionals on curriculum design, research, and consultancy projects.
With this initiative, NU aims to reinforce its role as a hub for robotics and AI education in India while expanding career and innovation pathways for its students.
