Candidates can check their allotted exam city through the official portal, while admit cards will be released separately before the medical entrance re-examination.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city intimation slips for candidates appearing in the NEET-UG 2026 re-examination scheduled for June 21, allowing applicants to check the city where their examination center will be located.
Candidates can access the details by logging in to the official NEET website using their application number and password.

Announcing the development on X, the agency said, "Candidates can now check their allotted examination city for NEET-UG 2026. Log in with your Application Number and password to view and download your slip."
According to an official notice, the re-examination will be conducted in pen-and-paper mode from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. The test will be held across 551 cities in India and 14 cities abroad.
The NTA clarified that the city intimation slip is being issued only to inform candidates about the location of their examination city and cannot be used for entry into the examination center.
"This is NOT the Admit Card. It shows only your exam city. The Admit Card will be issued later," the agency said.
The examination authority added that efforts have been made to accommodate candidates in their preferred cities wherever possible. "It said that all efforts are made by the NTA to give 1st choice city to all students."
Candidates have been advised to keep checking the official website, neet.nta.ac.in, for updates regarding the release of admit cards and other examination-related announcements.
To download the city intimation slip, candidates must visit the official website, click on the relevant link, log in using their application number and password, and download the document for future reference.
The NTA reiterated that the admit card will be issued separately. Candidates will be required to carry the admit card along with a valid photo identity proof on the day of the examination.
The NEET-UG 2026 examination for admission to undergraduate medical courses was originally conducted on May 3. However, the test was canceled on May 12 following allegations of a question paper leak. The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is currently probing the matter.

Ahead of the re-examination, the NTA has also announced additional security measures. NTA Director General Abhishek Singh said the Indian Air Force (IAF) would be involved in transporting question papers for the first time.
During a meeting convened by Telangana Chief Secretary K Ramakrishna Rao to review examination arrangements, Singh said enhanced security protocols were being implemented.
Singh said that, “For the first time, the Indian Air Force is being engaged to transport question papers, reflecting the importance being accorded to maintaining the integrity and security of the examination process."
The decision to involve the IAF was announced earlier by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on May 28. He said the move was made to strengthen the security of the examination process and address logistical challenges, including weather-related concerns during June.
With the re-examination now less than two weeks away, candidates have been urged to download their city slips and stay updated through official NTA notifications regarding admit cards and examination instructions.
