Officials report smooth conduct with coordinated logistics and monitoring systems in place to manage large candidate turnout and maintain discipline across examination centers nationwide.

The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for undergraduate courses was held on May 3 across 551 cities in India and 14 international locations, with extensive arrangements made to manage one of the country’s largest entrance exams.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan visited the National Testing Agency headquarters to review preparedness for the examination, officials said.

During the visit, the minister assessed key operational areas such as exam logistics, coordination with test centers, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure smooth conduct, they said.
Officials briefed him on steps taken to manage the high volume of candidates and maintain discipline at examination venues.
The NEET-UG 2026 exam was conducted by the NTA for nearly 23 lakh registered candidates under strict protocols at centers nationwide, officials said.
NEET-UG remains one of the largest undergraduate entrance exams in India and is the primary gateway for admission to MBBS, BDS, and other allied medical programs across institutions.
