Scorecards will be available from July 16, while successful candidates must obtain the official pass certificate before applying for registration with State Medical Councils.

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced the results of the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2026, with 4,635 candidates clearing the licensing test out of 37,448 examinees.
The exam recorded a pass rate of 12.38%, the lowest among the last six FMGE sessions.

FMGE is the mandatory licensing examination for Indian citizens and Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) who have earned their MBBS degree from foreign medical institutions. Passing the exam is required to become eligible to practice medicine in India.
According to NBEMS, the FMGE June 2026 examination was conducted on June 28 at centers across the country.
Candidates can access their results on the official NBEMS website. Individual scorecards will be available for download from July 16 and can be accessed for six months.
Data released by the board shows that the June 2026 session registered the lowest pass percentage among the last six FMGE examinations.
The December 2025 session recorded a pass rate of 23.93%, followed by 18.61% in June 2025, 29.62% in December 2024, 20.19% in June 2024, and 20.19% in December 2023. Only the June 2023 session had a lower pass percentage at 10.19%.
NBEMS said FMGE Pass Certificates will be issued in person after verifying candidates' identity and other required credentials. The schedule for certificate distribution will be announced separately on the official website.
The board also clarified that the downloadable scorecard cannot be used for registration with State Medical Councils in place of the official FMGE Pass Certificate.
According to the notification, the results of 20 candidates have been withheld, with the reasons communicated to the concerned candidates through email.
NBEMS said the candidature of these candidates, as well as those who have qualified, will remain provisional until verification of eligibility and supporting credentials is completed.
