The board-style assessment will cover students from government, private, and madrasa schools statewide, with online systems supporting registration, center allocation, evaluation, and timely issuance of marksheets.

Madhya Pradesh will hold board-pattern examinations for Class 5 and Class 8, with the exams scheduled to begin on Feb 20 in the 2025–26 academic session, according to a notification issued by the Rajya Shiksha Kendra.
The exams will take place between Feb 20 and Feb 28 at 12,920 centers across the state, with nearly 25 lakh students from government schools, private institutions, and madrasas expected to appear.

The Rajya Shiksha Kendra said the board-style exams will apply to students enrolled in government, non-government, and madrasa schools, with arrangements made at centers based on student strength to ensure smooth conduct.
Rajya Shiksha Kendra Director Harjinder Singh said around 24.9 lakh students from 110,615 schools will take the exams, including those from 86,109 government schools, 23,980 private schools, and 525 madrasas.
He said separate question papers have been prepared for language subjects in line with the NCERT syllabus for 20,736 students from 522 private schools, while question papers for other subjects are based on state-prescribed textbooks.
To streamline the process, the School Education Department has launched a dedicated online portal to manage student verification, exam center allocation, mapping of center heads, distribution of materials, issuance of roll numbers and admit cards, attendance, evaluation, and marksheet generation.
Officials said all eligible students will be allowed to appear for the examinations. Center heads have been instructed to permit students who could not complete registration before the exams, with technical details to be updated on the portal later.
Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education will conduct the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in February 2026.
Class 10 exams are scheduled from Feb 11 to March 2, 2026, while Class 12 exams will begin on Feb 7, 2026, as per the revised timetable.
