Girls have once again surpassed boys with a higher pass percentage. The pass percentage for girls stood at 95.44%, while that of boys stood at 91.60%.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) on May 21 announced the Class 12 board results, with girls outperforming boys yet again.

More than 14 lakh students appeared for MSBSHSE exam and the overall pass percentage for this year's Class 12 final exam stood at 93.37%.
The science stream achieved the highest pass percentage at 97.82% among the five streams. The percentage for other streams were as follows: Arts: 85.88%, Commerce: 92.18%, Vocational: 87.75% ,ITI: 87.69%.
Students who appeared for Maharashtra board Higher Secondary exam can access their scorecards starting from on the official website - mahresult.nic.in using their correct registration number or roll number, along with their password.
The pass percentage for students in Mumbai was 91.95%, the lowest among all divisions of the Maharashtra board while Konkan once again emerged as the best-performing division, with a pass percentage of 97.91%.
A total of 14,33,331 students registered for the exam, with 14,23,923 actually appearing, and 13,29,684 passing.
Last year, the overall pass percentage for class 12th was 91.25% with girls outperforming boys. The pass percentage for girls was 94.73% compared to 89.14% for boys.
The MSBSHSE Class 12 exams were conducted offline from Feb. 21 to March 19. To pass the MSBSHSE HSC exams, candidates need to secure at least 35 percent in each subject and overall.
Students who could not pass the annual Maharashtra HSC 12th examination can appear for supplementary exam, scheduled in June-July. The application process for the supplementary exam will commence on May 27.
