In a bid to significantly redefine educational landscape, Global Educational Ventures (GEV) and Swami Vivekanand Institute of Engineering and Technology (SVIET) have signed an agreement to establish a wing of the world-famous King’s College UK in Gurugram.
King’s College, originally based in the UK, was established over 150 years ago and has been known for its legacy.

The signing ceremony was held at the Burj Al Arab in Dubai and attended by distinguished attendees including Michael Sloan, the headmaster of King’s College, along with Justin Chippendale, director of International Schools of King’s College, and Simon Worthy, who oversees the administration and finance of King’s College, according to media reports.
Also in attendance were Linda Nash, Chair of Governors at King’s College, and other distinguished guests.
The school will follow the Cambridge/IB curriculum for various classes, leading to IGCSE and A levels/ IB Diploma. The first year of academic operations will begin in 2025.
The new center is part of King's College London's commitment to fostering global partnerships and expanding its presence in key markets around the world. The Gurugram center will provide a platform for businesses, academics, and policymakers to connect, collaborate, and share knowledge, with a particular focus on the NCER of India.
The NCER is a region that includes Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan, and is home to a large and growing population of young, educated, and tech-savvy individuals. The region is also a hub for business and innovation, with a strong focus on technology, finance, and healthcare.
Admissions will be conducted as per the norms of the state and as specified by the King’s College based in the UK, reported the Indian Express.
All the details about the admission process, including tuition fee and scholarships, will be announced once the school begins admission process.
The institute also clarified that most of the faculty will be from the UK/Europe or other countries, including the head of the school and coordinators, it said.
Some faculty will be from India as per the requirement of the subject and the competencies of the member, it added.
