Eight Indian B-schools made it to the FT 2025 MBA rankings, with ISB Hyderabad improving its position to 27th, up from 31st in 2024 and 39th in 2023, maintaining an average rank of 32 over the past three years.
The Financial Times' (FT) 2025 MBA rankings place the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, as the top management school in India and the 27th best in the world.
There are eight Indian B-schools out of 100 overall. Just six business schools in India were ranked in the FT MBA rankings last year.
The ISB is now ranked higher than it was in 2024 (number 31) and 2023 (number 39). The Institute's average rank for the last three years is 32. The alumni network was at a score of 4.
Other institutes that secured spots are IIM Ahmedabad (31), IIM Bangalore (57), IIM Calcutta (61), and IIM Lucknow (71).
This year, two new IIMs made the list: IIM-Indore at 69 and Kozhikode campus, which rated 86 in MBA.
Interestingly, IIM Kozhikode's Post Graduate Programme in Business Leadership has made its debut in the Financial Times' (FT) Global MBA Rankings for 2025.
The University of Pennsylvania, Wharton campus, topped this list, followed by Columbia Business School, both of which are US universities.
