IIT Roorkee launches four-month AI certificate program for working professionals

IIT Roorkee has introduced a four-month postgraduate certificate program aimed at helping working professionals build AI-powered business applications without requiring prior coding experience.

The program has been developed by iHUB DivyaSampark, IIT Roorkee, in response to the growing use of artificial intelligence in workplace operations and the demand for professionals who can implement and scale AI solutions.

The new certificate program is designed to address this gap by focusing on practical AI applications, no-code development, AI agents and automated workflows rather than conventional programming.

Participants will work with more than 15 AI and automation platforms, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, NotebookLM, Dify, Flowise, n8n, Make and Airtable.

The curriculum will cover Generative AI and Agentic AI along with responsible AI practices, governance, security and deployment readiness. Participants will also learn how AI applications can be integrated into research, reporting, operations, collaboration and decision-making processes.

The program will be delivered through live online weekend classes, with three-hour sessions scheduled on Saturdays and Sundays.

Graduates and diploma holders with at least three years of work experience are eligible to apply. Prior coding experience is not mandatory for admission.

The total program fee is ₹109,000, excluding GST. Participants who successfully complete the program will receive an e-certificate from iHUB DivyaSampark, IIT Roorkee.

The institute said the program is intended for working professionals seeking to move beyond using off-the-shelf AI tools and develop practical applications that can be integrated into business workflows.
