Three new one-year online diploma programs launched for working professionals in healthcare product management, electric vehicle technology, and advanced communication engineering with integrated quantum and AI technologies.
IIT Delhi has launched three new online postgraduate diploma programs to help professionals and students enhance their skills in rapidly growing sectors such as healthcare product development and management, electric vehicle technology, and advanced communication engineering integrating quantum and artificial intelligence.
The one-year courses are crafted and taught by leading IIT Delhi faculty in collaboration with industry specialists. Successful participants will also gain affiliate alumni status from the institute.
The 12-month healthcare program, offered by IIT Delhi’s Centre for Biomedical Engineering (CBME), aims to equip professionals with the expertise to innovate and commercialize healthcare technologies.
It covers topics like biomedical innovation, regulatory frameworks, product lifecycle management, and market readiness.
An optional two-day on-campus immersion is included to promote networking and peer engagement.
This course is open to individuals from biomedical engineering, life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare, and related fields with a minimum of two years of industry experience.
The Centre for Automotive Research and Tribology (CART) designed the electric vehicle course to support India’s transition to electric mobility.
The program includes three in-person immersion sessions at IIT Delhi and addresses various EV technologies and industry challenges.
It is tailored for engineers, technologists, entrepreneurs, and professionals seeking to enter or advance in the EV sector.
The Advanced Communication Engineering diploma, offered by the Bharti School of Telecommunication Technology and Management, blends emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, quantum networking, and next-generation wireless communication.
Eligible candidates typically have academic backgrounds in ECE, EE, CSE, IT, data science, mathematics, or applied physics.
Graduates of this course can pursue careers as quantum communication engineers, telecom AI/ML specialists, 5G/6G network engineers, and quantum cybersecurity experts.
"At IIT Delhi, we remain committed to expanding access to world-class education and driving innovation across emerging fields. The launch of our online postgraduate diploma programs marks a significant step in this direction. These programs are designed to equip professionals with the knowledge, skills, and interdisciplinary insights required to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time,” said IIT Delhi Director Prof Rangan Banerjee.
