IIMs shine in QS Global MBA Rankings 2026, three in top 100

The latest QS rankings highlight the rising profile of Indian management schools worldwide, with strong showings in MBA and master’s programs, debut entries, and recognition for diversity and return on investment.

IIMs shine in QS Global MBA Rankings 2026, three in top 100

Indian business schools have strengthened their global standing in the QS Global MBA Rankings 2026, with three leading institutions making it to the top 100.

The rankings reflect the growing international recognition of India’s management education for its academic standards, global competitiveness, and career impact.

IIM Bangalore led the Indian contingent, securing the 52nd spot worldwide, a one-rank improvement over last year, while holding its national lead.

IIM Ahmedabad followed at 58th, and IIM Calcutta stood at 64th, underscoring India’s consistent presence among the world’s most competitive MBA programs.

IIM Indore also delivered its best performance so far, breaking into the 151–200 range after first appearing in the list in 2022.

Overall, 14 Indian institutions found a place in this year’s global MBA rankings.

The Woxsen School of Business made an impressive entry, earning the 26th position globally in diversity and claiming the number one spot in Asia for this category.

India also expanded its footprint in the QS Business Master’s Rankings 2026, with 37 programs included, 10 of them new.

In the Master’s in Management category, Indian institutes ranked among the top 15 globally, with IIM Bangalore at 7th, IIM Ahmedabad at 11th, and IIM Calcutta at 12th.

IIM Lucknow (30), Kozhikode (48), and Indore (50) also featured within the top 50 worldwide.

Although no Indian school secured a place in the top 200 for finance programs, TAPMI stood out by debuting at 22nd for return on investment, highlighting its value-driven approach.

For the first time, Indian institutions also made their way into the QS Online MBA Rankings, reflecting their growing adaptability to digital learning platforms.

With more schools climbing the ranks and entering new categories, Indian business schools are steadily establishing themselves as global leaders in management education.

The QS Global MBA and Business Master’s Rankings span 80 countries and territories, covering more than 390 leading MBA programs and specialized master’s tracks in fields such as management, finance, marketing, business analytics, and supply chain management.
