A proposal for ₹200 crore was authorized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to expand the institution's current facilities and build a new campus in Amravati, Maharashtra.
With an investment of ₹200 crore, the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) has made great progress in improving its training and academic facilities.
IIMC Registrar Nimish Rustagi said the goal of the initiative is to improve the educational atmosphere of the university.
IIMC has achieved significant strides in the field of media education, upgraded its facilities, and introduced new programs as part of its initiatives.
In Aug, Rustagi announced the opening of two new MA programs with a combined intake capacity of 80 students: Media Business Studies and Strategic Communication.
The year 2024 was crucial for the institute since it saw a major effort to update its facilities.
A proposal for ₹200 crore was authorized by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to expand the institution's current facilities and build a new campus in Amravati, Maharashtra.
It is anticipated that these projects, which should be finished in two years, will greatly improve media education in the nation.
IIMC has concentrated on improving its current resources in addition to building new infrastructure.
Modern audiovisual equipment was provided to all six of its locations, and MoJo studios were established on each campus.
New books have been added to the libraries, and computer laboratories have been furnished with the newest software and top-tier PCs.
IIMC also opened its first-ever incubation centers in Delhi and Kottayam to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, opening up new doors for both entrepreneurs and students.
