The extension aims to support students facing academic or personal delays, allowing both Indian and international learners to re-register without pressure through IGNOU’s official online portal.
The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has extended the deadline for re-registration for the July 2025 session until July 15, offering additional time for students enrolled in Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online mode programs.
The re-registration window, which originally opened on May 15, is meant for existing IGNOU students who are progressing to the next semester or academic year.
This deadline extension is intended to support learners who may be facing academic or personal delays, giving them the opportunity to complete the process without added pressure.
Students are allowed to re-register even if they have not yet appeared for term-end examinations or submitted assignments.
Re-registration can be completed through the official portal at https://onlinerr.ignou.ac.in. The process is open to both Indian and international students enrolled in eligible programs.
To register, students should visit the website, click on “New Registration,” enter their mobile number and email ID, log in with their username and password, select subjects based on their program guide, and make the payment using a debit card, credit card, UPI, or net banking.
After submission, students should save or print the confirmation page and payment receipt.
Students are encouraged not to wait until the last minute to avoid technical glitches. Those using cybercafes should carefully verify their subject choices and payment information before final submission.
In case of login or OTP-related issues, students should immediately contact their regional centers. They are also advised not to make multiple payments if a delay occurs.
Instead, they should wait for 24 hours before trying again. Any extra payments made will be automatically refunded by the system.
