“These professions play a crucial role in preventive, promotive, curative and rehabilitative healthcare,” Srivastava added, stressing the impact on workforce quality, industry alignment, and career mobility.

She noted the importance of strong implementation systems, saying, “The success of these curricula depends not only on their design and content but also on the strength of the systems that support their rollout. so that the vision of Swastha Bharat can be promoted.”

In her closing remarks, Srivastava also called for robust regulation and sustained capacity building to ensure quality delivery.

Dr Yagna Unmesh Shukla, Chairperson of NCAHP, said, “These curricula will ensure uniformity and an important step in the direction of actualizing the vision of ‘One Nation, One Curriculum’.”

She announced that the new curricula will be mandatory starting in 2026 and available on the NCAHP website.

Additional curricula for other professional categories under the NCAHP Act, 2021, are also in development.

The launch marks a milestone in standardizing allied healthcare education nationwide, supporting the broader goal of achieving universal health coverage through a well-trained and globally competitive workforce.
