Google launches free AI Agents course to train next-generation developersGoogle has introduced a free, in-depth course on AI agents aimed at helping learners explore the next frontier in artificial intelligence.

The program, hosted on Google’s data science platform Kaggle, is open to all and focuses on understanding, designing, and deploying autonomous intelligent systems.

Initially launched as a live event, the course is now available in recorded format, allowing participants to study at their own pace.

Learners can access video sessions, complete coding tasks, and earn certificates upon completion.

Expert contributors from Google, NVIDIA, Cohere, and Grove AI have helped design the curriculum, providing real-world insights into how AI agents automate tasks, make decisions, and adapt through interaction with their environment.

“The course combines academic theory with practical labs, equipping learners with the tools to build and deploy their own AI agents,” Google stated.

The curriculum covers key areas such as agent architecture, development frameworks, memory and decision-making systems, and methods for evaluating and scaling agent performance.

Over five days, participants can explore 20 video modules, interactive discussions, and coding exercises, culminating in a capstone project where they create a functional AI agent, such as a virtual assistant or adaptive chatbot.

Unlike traditional AI courses that center on large language or vision models, this program emphasizes agentic systems capable of planning and executing complex tasks independently.

The collaboration with Kaggle ensures global accessibility, enabling learners to revisit lessons, experiment with projects, and continue building expertise even after completing the sessions.

Google noted that AI agents are already being adopted across industries by companies like HubSpot, Adobe, and SK Telecom, reflecting a broader move toward automation and intelligent system design.

Participants can access the complete course on Kaggle’s official website under the Kaggle–Google AI Agent Course section.

The initiative highlights Google’s ongoing effort to make advanced AI learning resources widely available and practically relevant for emerging developers, data scientists, and tech enthusiasts.
