Schools to start with primary sections from temporary campuses after land transfer, with phased expansion planned, while admissions to be completed within 30 days as per KVS guidelines.

Four newly approved Kendriya Vidyalayas in Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand are set to begin classes from the current academic session after meeting key operational requirements.
The schools include Kendriya Vidyalaya Madan Negi in Tehri Garhwal and Kendriya Vidyalaya Gool in Ramban district, which were part of the 85 institutions sanctioned in December 2024.

Kendriya Vidyalaya No 3 Darbhanga, located at AIIMS in Bihar, and Kendriya Vidyalaya Shamli in Uttar Pradesh were approved under a separate round of 57 schools cleared in October 2025.
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan said the sponsoring authorities in all four cases have completed land transfer formalities and arranged temporary accommodation, allowing the schools to start operations.
The institutions will initially run with single sections and gradually expand in phases depending on feasibility and further approvals.
The schools in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh will offer classes from Balvatika I to III along with Classes I to V. In contrast, the Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir campuses will begin with Classes I to V.
All four schools will operate from temporary campuses, including existing government school facilities, until permanent buildings are constructed.
As per KVS norms, admissions in these new schools must be completed within 30 days after all formalities related to land and temporary infrastructure are finalized.
At the same time, KVS has already initiated the admission process for the 2026 to 2027 academic session.
The first provisional lists for Class 1 have been released, while further lists are being issued in phases based on available seats. Admissions for higher classes are being conducted offline, subject to vacancies at individual schools.
