The order allows limited exceptions for approved academic or cultural content under supervision while stressing strict compliance to prevent disruptions, protect student privacy, and maintain discipline on campus.

Schools in Faridabad have been instructed to stop the recording of reels and short videos during school hours, with authorities emphasizing that such activities should not interfere with academics or institutional discipline.
In a circular issued on March 25, the district education office said it had observed instances of entertainment-driven video creation on school premises and directed school heads to strictly prohibit such practices during class hours.

The directive states that any activity disrupting the teaching-learning process or distracting students must be avoided, adding that the decorum and dignity of educational institutions should be maintained at all times.
“School heads must strictly prohibit such practices during class hours,” the order said, making it clear that the restriction applies to students, teachers, and staff.
At the same time, the administration allowed limited exceptions for content related to academic, cultural, or awareness themes, provided prior approval is obtained and the activity is conducted under teacher supervision without affecting regular classes.
The circular also specifies that no inappropriate, non-academic, or promotional material should be recorded on school premises, with strict safeguards required to ensure student safety and privacy.
“All school heads have been instructed to disseminate these directions among staff and students and ensure strict compliance, warning that any violation of the instructions will be viewed seriously,” it stated, marking the directive as “most urgent.”
