The Paari School of Business at SRM University–AP hosted an insightful annual panel discussion titled “Success Mantra for Managers: Skilling and Upskilling in the Age of AI” bringing together industry leaders to share perspectives on leadership, resilience, and employability in an AI-driven world.

Addressing the gathering Prof. Ashay Kadam, Dean, Paari School of Business, SRM University–AP highlighted how artificial intelligence is redefining the way individuals work, think, and manage in today’s volatile professional landscape. “AI is not merely an efficiency tool it is reshaping decision-making, management, and the way organisations function. Emphasising clarity and belief, Mr P G Srinivas, Country Head – India & International Business Development, Magnetic Technologies LLC, stressed that focus and purpose are non-negotiable for long-term success. “Clarity is the one quality that must stay with you from your first day in an organisation to your last. Let your work be driven by belief and emotional connection, not just rewards. A confused mind will never achieve its objectives,” he said.

Highlighting the people-centric nature of leadership, Mr Kadambala Balajee Rao, Senior Vice President – People Solutions, Lockton, he remarked, “Resilience and self-discipline are two sides of the same coin. When you show up every day with consistency, resilience follows naturally and that quiet discipline is what builds lasting strength.”

Offering a strategic perspective, Dr Sreedhar Nandiraj, AVP, Reliance Jio, Hyderabad, highlighted adaptability and learning as the foundation of leadership. Outlining key competencies, he noted, “ In an AI-driven world, judgment matters most, because technology gives outputs, but humans decide what to do with them.”

Moderated by Dr Agna Fernandez, Associate Vice President, NSE Academy, the session highlighted the growing need for managers to combine technical competence with adaptability, emotional intelligence, and ethical judgment in an AI-driven workplace.

The interactive session concluded with a clear message for aspiring managers: prioritise attitude, patience, integrity, and lifelong learning to thrive in the evolving professional landscape. The event reaffirmed SRM University–AP’s commitment to preparing industry-ready, value-driven leaders through meaningful engagement with industry experts.
