Delhi Technological University (DTU) and the University of Houston (UH) have formalized a five-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at strengthening academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.

The agreement, signed on March 20, 2025, includes provisions for extension in 2030 if necessary, with the goal of enhancing knowledge exchange, fostering collaborative research, and creating additional opportunities for students.

As part of the partnership, both universities will engage in joint educational and research activities, allowing faculty and scholars to participate in research exchanges, share academic publications, and collaborate on scholarly projects.

Additionally, students will benefit from paid internships and cooperative placements at the host institution, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

The MoU was signed by key representatives from both institutions, including UH Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs and Provost Diane Z Chase, Dean of the UH Cullen College of Engineering Pradeep Sharma, DTU Vice Chancellor Prateek Sharma, and DTU Dean of International Affairs Pravir Kumar.

This collaboration marks a significant step forward in fostering global partnerships and advancing academic and research excellence.

"The University of Houston partners with the world's top institutions, and DTU is no exception," said Chase.

"This is a win-win situation for both universities and their respective communities. I am excited about a long and successful relationship with one of India's most respected academies," Chase added.

The University of Houston (UH) has a strong track record of building academic partnerships in India.

Notably, it has collaborated with the MGM Institute of Health Science and the Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences to establish a Doctor of Nursing Practice program.

Additionally, UH has worked with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations to promote the Tamil language and culture, further solidifying its commitment to international collaboration and cultural exchange.
