Delhi Metro to provide hassle-free travel for over 3 lakh students during CBSE 2025 exams

For the 2025 CBSE Board exams, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) declared on Feb 14 that it would provide priority to students commuting to their exam centers.

A number of steps have been taken to guarantee a seamless travel experience for students, including prioritizing the ticketing and security check procedures, the DMRC shared on X.

On Feb 15, the CBSE Board examinations for Classes 10 and 12 will begin, and they will conclude on April 4.

"As approximately 3.30 lakh students and thousands of school staff will be commuting across the city, DMRC in partnership with CISF is implementing special facilitation measures at metro stations to accommodate the increased footfall on examination days," the DMRC said in the X post.

According to DMRC, in order for the students to use the amenities, they will need to present their admit cards during security checks at metro stations.

"DMRC staff visited schools, interacted with principals, and informed them about the nearest metro stations and the support available for students," it added in the X post.

To assist students, Delhi Metro employees will also issue centralized announcements.

"A detailed list of metro stations closest to examination centers has also been uploaded on the DMRC website and official mobile application for easy reference.”

The Class 10 exams will start on Feb 15 from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm with the English (Communicative) and English (Language and Literature) papers, according to the CBSE 2025 datesheet. Students in Class 12 will take the entrepreneurship paper on the same day. In order to promote better preparation, the board has made sure that there are enough breaks between examinations for both classes.

It is anticipated that almost 42 lakh students will take the exams this year at 7,842 locations in India and 26 foreign countries.
