What is it?
A multilateral military training, among the biggest joint service exercises in the Middle East–North Africa (MENA) area.
Held every two years since 1980.
Countries Engaged:
Mainly organized by Egypt and the United States.
Involvement from India and various allied countries throughout Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
Egypt, in collaboration with the United States.
Objective:
To improve cooperation and compatibility among the nations involved.
To enhance peace, security, and stability in the region.
To ready troops for contemporary, multi-domain conflict via collaborative exercises.
Main Highlights of the 2025 Version:
Live firing exercises conducted by the Army, Navy, and Air Force to demonstrate their combat abilities.
Command Post Exercise → enhancing collaborative planning and operational coordination.
Brief Training Drills addressing different elements of contemporary combat.
Engagements with Subject Matter Experts regarding modern military sectors.
Emphasize collaboration among the three military branches and global defense partnerships.
