What is it?

The Women’s Workforce Participation Rate (WPR) assessed by PLFS indicates the proportion of women involved in economic activities (self-employment, formal jobs, informal work).
(2017-24):
WPR increased from 22% to 40.3%.
Rural women's employment rises by 96%, while urban women's employment grows by 43%.
The percentage of female self-employment increased from 51.9% to 67.4%.
1.56 crore women entered the formal labor market and over 16 crore signed up on e-Shram.

Women-led MSMEs increased twofold, and 68% of Mudra loans were granted to women.
Gender budget rose by 429% over the past ten years.
Almost 50% of startups feature female directors
