Accelerating Clean Energy Infrastructure for Growth

India is working to increase its use of renewable energy as part of its plan to develop in a sustainable way keep its energy supply safe and fight climate change. The country is building clean energy sources to meet the growing need for electricity while reducing its use of fossil fuels.
Key Highlights:

One big area of focus is building solar parks and wind energy projects. Many solar installations and wind farms are being built in states to increase the amount of renewable power generated. The government is giving incentives supporting policies and the cost of technology is going down which has led to growth in these areas.
Another important thing happening is that there is focus on battery storage technologies. Since renewable energy sources like solar and wind do not always produce energy we need energy storage systems to keep the power grid stable and make sure people always have electricity. Investments in battery technologies and storage infrastructure are being promoted to help renewable energy work better with the national power grid.
The government is also working with companies to build more infrastructure and get more investments. When government agencies, local companies and international investors work together it helps get money, new technologies and projects done.
The government is also working to improve the transmission infrastructure, including paths for green energy to make it easier to send renewable power to different regions.
Significance:
Indias increase in energy investments helps the country keep its promises under the Paris Agreement by reducing bad things we release into the air and promoting a cleaner way of living.
It also helps the country move to an more sustainable way of using energy by using many different sources of energy and reducing its use of fossil fuels that it has to import, which makes the countrys energy supply more safe in the long run.
From a point of view investing in renewable energy creates jobs brings in money from other countries and helps industries that make clean technology and things grow.
Also using renewable energy is good for the environment because it reduces air pollution and helps the country deal with the effects of climate change.
Indias increased investments, in renewable energy show that the country is committed to growing its economy in a way and protecting the environment. By building solar and wind projects promoting storage technologies and working with private companies India is moving towards a cleaner more stable and energy-secure future with more renewable energy investments and more use of renewable energy.
