Delhi High Court Dismisses Plea to Postpone CA 2024 Exams Amid General Elections
ICAI Releases CA Inter and Final Admit Cards
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the release of admit cards for the CA Intermediate and Final examinations scheduled for May 2024. As of April 17, candidates can access their admit cards via the official ICAI website, icai.org. However, the download link for the admit cards is not yet active.
To obtain their admit cards, candidates must log in using their respective ICAI CA Inter or Final exam registration numbers along with other necessary credentials. The availability of admit cards marks a crucial milestone for aspirants as they prepare for one of the most significant examinations in the field of chartered accountancy.
The Intermediate examinations, comprising Group 1 and Group 2 papers, are scheduled to take place on May 3, 5, 9 (Group 1) and May 11, 15, 17 (Group 2). Similarly, the Final examinations will occur on May 2, 4, 8 (Group 1) and May 10, 14, 16 (Group 2).
Amidst the announcement of examination dates, there were pleas from certain quarters to reschedule the exams due to their overlap with the general elections. However, the Delhi High Court recently dismissed such a plea, asserting that no CA exam dates coincide with the polling dates. The court further emphasized the importance of students managing their time effectively to accommodate both their academic commitments and civic responsibilities.
The dismissal of the petition underscores the necessity for candidates to focus on their exam preparation diligently. As the countdown to the May 2024 examinations begins, aspiring chartered accountants are urged to make the most of the time available to them and approach their studies with dedication and perseverance.
Stay tuned to the official ICAI website for further updates and notifications regarding the CA Intermediate and Final examinations.
