I The India Meteorological Department is warning people about this because the temperature is going above 40°C in places
People are getting really worried about how this will affect their health and the environment. The India Meteorological Department says it is going to be very hot in some parts of Maharashtra in the interior regions. This hot weather is going to stay for a while. It is going to be very bad in Vidarbha until April 18. Vidarbha is a place that usually gets very hot in the summer. It is going to get even hotter.

The India Meteorological Department has issued an alert for some important places near the coast like Mumbai, Thane, Palghar and Raigad. This yellow alert means that people might feel uncomfortable because of the heat and they should be careful in the afternoon when it is the hottest.
This heatwave is a problem for peoples health especially for old people, kids and people who work outside. If people are outside in the heat for long they can get dehydrated, feel very tired and even get heatstroke. The authorities are telling people to drink a lot of water stay away from the sun and follow the safety rules.
The heatwave is also going to affect how much work people can do how well the farms will. How much water we have. Because it is hot people are going to use a lot of electricity to cool their homes. This can put a lot of pressure on the power system.
This heatwave is an example of how the weather's changing and how we are getting more and more extreme weather events. Heatwaves are happening often because of climate change and this is going to cause a lot of problems for our cities how we use our resources and how we prepare for disasters.
So the heatwave, in Maharashtra is a reminder that we need to do something to stop it from getting worse. We need to have plans to deal with the heat tell people about the dangers of heatwaves and build our cities in a way that helps us stay cool when it is hot.
