Advisory details the application process, Aadhaar authentication guidance, syllabus access, and exam languages, while urging candidates to apply only through portals and monitor updates as participating universities may change.

The National Testing Agency has issued an advisory for candidates preparing to appear for the Common University Entrance Test for Undergraduate programs in 2026, detailing key information on timelines, registration procedures, and Aadhaar-related requirements.
According to the notice released on Dec 27, the CUET UG 2026 examination is scheduled to be held in the third week of May 2026.

The test will be conducted in 13 languages at multiple centers in India and overseas for admission to undergraduate courses offered by Central Universities and other participating institutions.
NTA said the application process for CUET UG 2026 will be conducted exclusively through its official website, cuet.nta.nic.in.
Candidates have been advised to submit forms only through the designated portal and avoid using third-party platforms.
Details of undergraduate programs offered by Central Universities and other participating institutions are available on the CUET UG portal and on the respective university websites.
As the list of participating universities may change, aspirants have been asked to check the NTA website regularly for updates.
The CUET UG 2026 syllabus has also been released and is accessible on the official website.
To reduce technical difficulties during registration, NTA has issued specific guidance related to Aadhaar authentication.
Candidates have been advised to ensure their Aadhaar details are updated in accordance with the guidelines of the Unique Identification Authority of India.
However, if information such as a parent’s name is not available in the Aadhaar database, candidates will not be required to provide those details in the application form.
The agency also clarified that in cases where a candidate’s name differs between the Aadhaar card and the Class 10 certificate or marksheet, the application system will offer an option to address the mismatch during registration.
Candidates have been urged to regularly visit nta.ac.in and cuet.nta.nic.in for official notifications, updates, and further instructions related to CUET UG 2026.
