The CTET is conducted twice a year by CBSE to assess candidates' eligibility for a teaching career. The CTET covers two levels: primary teacher (grades 1 to 5) and upper primary teacher (grades 6 to 8).
The Central Board of Secondary Education, or CBSE, began the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) December 2024 registration procedure on Sep 17. The direct link to apply is available on the official CBSE CTET website, ctet.nic.in.
The examination will commence on Dec 1, 2024, and will be held in two shifts: 9.30 am to 12 pm for the first shift, and 2.30 pm to 5 pm for the second.
According to the information bulletin, the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has announced the eligibility in order to appear in the CTET. Candidates can check their eligibility on the NCTE website.
Follow the steps to apply:
For applicants in the general/OBC category, the examination fee is ₹1000 for Paper I or II only, and ₹1200 for Paper I & II. The examination fee for candidates in the SC/ST/Diff.
Abled Person category is ₹500 for Paper I or II and ₹600 for Papers I and II. Fees can be paid online with a debit card, credit card, or through net banking. Candidates must take a printout of the confirmation page and retain it for future reference.
