The orientation session will equip principals and counselors with essential knowledge on CUET, its role in undergraduate admissions, and provide guidance on supporting students in choosing the right courses.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is hosting a special orientation session for principals and counselors of affiliated schools to equip school administrators with a comprehensive understanding of the Common University Entrance Test (CUET).
The event will be held at the Auditorium, CBSE Integrated Office, Sector-23, Dwarka, New Delhi, on April 17, 2025, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Attendees are advised to arrive by 9:00 AM to complete pre-event procedures.
This program aligns with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes assisting students in making informed decisions about their further education and simplifying career counseling in schools.
The orientation will cover the structure of CUET, its role in undergraduate admissions, and its impact on students seeking university placement.
The goal is to ensure that administrators and counselors are well-prepared to help students choose their courses and navigate the broader admissions process.
Key insights from the session will include gaining accurate and up-to-date knowledge about CUET, guiding students in selecting courses that align with their academic and career goals, offering strategic support for CUET preparation, including stress management, and understanding and communicating university-specific admission requirements to students.
In its formal statement, CBSE emphasized the importance of this orientation, noting that school administrators must stay informed as CUET becomes an integral part of the undergraduate admissions process.
