The calendar aims to address behavioral, exam-related, and other student concerns through organized communication, with a team led by Anuradha Joshi and nine other principals, ensuring transparency and collaboration between parents and schools.
In order to enhance communication between parents and schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has started an initiative for the 2025–2026 academic year parental calendar.
One of CBSE's initiatives to encourage better parent-teacher relationships is the parenting calendar. Adolescents and children with special needs (CWSN) are among the age groups it seeks to serve.
Through prompt and organized communication, it will also address behavioral changes, exam-related issues, and other significant turning points.
With the use of this framework, CBSE wants to address student concerns in a more transparent and consistent manner, enabling parents and schools to successfully step in when necessary.
The committee responsible for developing the parenting calendar is led by Anuradha Joshi, Principal of Sardar Patel Vidyalaya, Delhi. The team includes nine other principals from across the country: Dr. Swati Popat Vats, President of Podar Education Network, Mumbai; Rekha Krishnan, Principal of Vasant Valley School, Delhi; Manju Arif, Principal of Delhi Public School, Bangalore North; Dr. Nivedita Ganguly, Principal of DAV International School, Ahmedabad; Minakshi Kushwaha, Principal of Birla Vidya Niketan, Delhi; Richa Agnihotri, Principal of Sanskriti School, Delhi; Annie Koshy, Principal of St. Mary's School, Delhi; Dr. Paramjit Singh, Principal of Army Public School, Ambala Cantt, Ambala; and Dr. Diganta Halder, Principal of Sarala Birla Gyan Jyoti, Guwahati, Assam.
The committee will be in charge of creating the calendar, working together to make decisions, and holding both in-person and remote meetings.
By March 15, the final suggestions for the CBSE parenting calendar should be finalized. In order to close communication gaps and promote a more cooperative atmosphere, this organized manual is expected to prove to be an invaluable resource for both parents and teachers.
