The helpline, active from May 13 to 28, offers students and parents free IVRS, tele-counseling, and online resources to help manage stress after CBSE board results.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched the second phase of its free psychosocial counselling services to provide emotional support to students following the release of Class 10 and 12 board exam results.
The helpline, which began on May 13, will remain active until May 28, 2025.
This move follows the declaration of results for over 37 lakh students.
According to CBSE, more than 22 lakh students passed Class 10 with a 93.66% pass rate, while nearly 15 lakh cleared Class 12 with an 88.39% success rate.
To help students and their families manage the associated stress, CBSE has expanded its support mechanisms.
The board said, “For round-the-clock assistance, individuals can dial 1800-11-8004 to access IVRS support, offering immediate guidance on issues like stress and time management.”
It added that tele-counseling is also available daily from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm through 65 trained professionals—including principals, counselors, and special educators from CBSE schools in India and abroad.
Students and parents can further benefit from podcasts and videos on mental health and academic pressure available on the CBSE website and its official YouTube channel.
These services can be accessed through the "Counselling" section of the CBSE website or by visiting the CBSE HQ YouTube channel.
This initiative comes at a time when students are also gearing up for national-level entrance exams such as CUET, JEE, and NEET.
By offering this comprehensive counselling support, CBSE aims to prioritize the mental and emotional well-being of students as they prepare for the next stages of their academic journey.
