The WCDC has begun accepting applications from Bihar women who passed the BPSC 71st prelims, offering a one-time ₹50,000 incentive exclusively for General, EWS, and Backward Class candidates.

Bihar has opened online applications for women who cleared the BPSC 71st preliminary examination, with the Women and Child Development Corporation inviting candidates to apply for its Civil Services Incentive Scheme.
The initiative, run under the Social Welfare Department, is designed for women from the General, Economically Weaker Section, and Backward Class categories who are permanent residents of the state.

The scheme offers a one-time incentive of ₹50,000. Applications must be submitted through the official WCDC portal, wcdc.bihar.gov.in/Careers, by Dec 31.
Submissions received after the final date or through any alternative method will not be considered.
According to the guidelines, applicants must be permanent residents of Bihar and should not belong to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Extremely Backward Class categories.
Only women who passed the 71st Joint Preliminary Competitive Examination conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission are eligible.
The incentive is granted only once, and those employed in any government department, PSU, or state-funded organization are barred from applying.
As part of the online process, candidates must upload scanned copies of their photograph, signature, self-attested BPSC admit card, caste certificate for Backward Class applicants, Aadhaar card, residential certificate, and a bank passbook or cancelled cheque displaying the account number and IFSC code.
Aadhaar must be seeded with the bank account for DBT transfer, and the department has clarified that seeding and linking are separate requirements. Payments will not be made without proper seeding.
Applicants must also submit an affidavit issued by a First Class Judicial Magistrate or Executive Magistrate confirming that they are not employed in any government-funded institution and have never received a similar benefit before.
A valid email ID is compulsory, as all communication from the department will be shared electronically.

Candidates have been advised to verify all details carefully, as any incorrect information will be their responsibility.
Authorities stated that legal action will be taken against anyone found to have availed the incentive through misrepresentation.
The WCDC website carries the detailed rules, and applicants seeking support may contact the department at 0612-2506068.
