The program offers ₹30,000 annually to eligible girls, with applications open to those completing Classes 10 and 12 at government schools across 21 states and Union Territories.

The Azim Premji Foundation has opened applications for the Azim Premji Scholarship for Delhi (NCT), with financial assistance planned for up to 20,000 girls pursuing undergraduate degrees or diploma courses this year.
Selected students will receive ₹30,000 annually from their first year of college until they complete their undergraduate degree or diploma. The scholarship can be used toward college fees and other education-related expenses.

Based on the length of the course, which may range from two to five years, each recipient can receive a total of up to ₹1.5 lakh.
The scholarship is available to girls who completed their schooling in any of 21 states and Union Territories, including Andhra Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Delhi (NCT), Jharkhand, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Puducherry, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Telangana, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
To qualify, applicants must have completed Classes 10 and 12 at a government school in one of the listed states or Union Territories. They must also have secured admission to the first year of an undergraduate degree or diploma program at a recognized institution anywhere in India.
The Foundation plans to extend the scholarship to up to 5 lakh girls across India every year. Since undergraduate courses generally run for about three years and the scholarship continues throughout the course, nearly 15 lakh students could have an active scholarship at any given time.
More than 1.9 lakh girls have received support through the program since its launch in 2024.
The application process is entirely online and free of charge. Applicants can submit their forms only through the official Azim Premji Foundation website.
“Girls will have a greater influence on the future of our country and our society’s well-being – more than any other demographic group. So, we must ensure equitable opportunities for them in all spheres. Higher Education is one of the most important of these spheres – it is an enabler of lifelong empowerment. Our scholarship directly addresses some of the barriers that girls continue to confront in accessing higher education," said Anurag Behar, CEO, Azim Premji Foundation.
