Finance Minister Shri Nirmala Sitharaman presented The Budget 2023 on 1st February 2023; We are incredibly grateful to the Government of India for bringing in new and wide-ranging initiatives in the field of Skilling.
With the launch of Pradhanmantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna 4.0, the government proposes to train lakhs of youth in the next three years to provide a better quality of life and life with dignity for the citizens of India. The training will align with Industry 4.0, so youth are adequately trained for the new job roles. We greatly appreciate the allotment of the greater chunk in the budget by the Government towards the Skill Development Initiative.
The focus will be on job creation and inclusive development; the aim will be to create ample opportunities for women, especially from the backward and weaker sections of society, by providing them end-to-end support in creating cluster-based self-help groups and establishing their businesses through value chain efficiency.
Skill India International Centre’s initiative announced in the budget is also a great leap to boost international mobility for the Country’s workforce and close the gap between Indian job seekers and foreign employers.
The future of Skilling in India is bright and promising, and the Council is fully committed to accomplishing the goals set by the Government of India.
