Ukraine's Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba to Visit India on Thursday

Amid the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Ukraine's Foreign Affairs Minister Dmytro Kuleba is set to embark on a two-day official visit to India starting from Thursday, as officially announced on Wednesday.

Kuleba's visit, facilitated by an invitation from India's External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, marks his first trip to India, a nation that has been carefully navigating its position on the European conflict.

During his visit, Kuleba is scheduled to engage in several activities, including official meetings with the External Affairs Minister and the Deputy National Security Advisor. These meetings will focus on discussions related to bilateral partnerships and cooperation on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Kuleba is also expected to interact with members of the business community, as stated by the Ministry of External Affairs.

It is understood that Kuleba, during his visit, will engage with his Indian counterparts on the Peace Summit proposed to be hosted by Switzerland to discuss the ongoing war in Ukraine.

India has attempted to maintain a neutral stance on the European war while consistently advocating for diplomacy and dialogue as means to resolve the conflict. In an effort to uphold its traditional ties with Russia, India has been providing humanitarian assistance to Ukraine.
