The new international route, operated by the airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft, is poised to significantly enhance connectivity between India, Nepal, the UAE, and Thailand.
In a move set to deepen regional ties and energize travel across South Asia, SpiceJet has announced the launch of daily non-stop flights between Delhi and Kathmandu, beginning May 10 this year.
The new international route, operated by the airline’s Boeing 737 aircraft, is poised to enhance connectivity significantly between India, Nepal, the UAE, and Thailand.
This strategic expansion adds to SpiceJet’s growing international footprint, which already includes key destinations like Dubai and Bangkok. According to airline officials, the new route underscores the carrier’s commitment to regional integration and affordable international travel.
Designed to serve both leisure and business travelers, the Delhi-Kathmandu service offers seamless access to Nepal’s capital—a city rich in cultural heritage and a gateway to iconic Himalayan adventures, including treks to Mount Everest.
Flight SG 41 will depart Delhi at 8:10 AM IST, arriving in Kathmandu by 9:55 AM local time. The return leg, SG 42, is scheduled to leave Kathmandu at 10:55 AM and land in Delhi at 1:10 PM IST. Bookings for the route are now open via SpiceJet’s official website, mobile app, and popular travel platforms.
The announcement comes during a period of strong growth for the airline. Domestically, SpiceJet has expanded its reach to underserved cities like Shivamogga, Tuticorin, Porbandar, and Dehradun, while reinstating operations to previously suspended destinations such as Gorakhpur.
The carrier’s improved financial trajectory also adds momentum. Recent credit rating upgrades from Acuité Ratings & Research Limited and CareEdge Ratings, combined with a fresh capital infusion of ₹294.09 crore by promoter Ajay Singh, reflect renewed investor confidence and operational stability.
With the Delhi-Kathmandu flight, SpiceJet continues to chart a bold course across South Asia’s skies — connecting cultures, countries, and economies like never before.
